Remove steel beam welding, which trade?

You bolt the timber to the web in the beam.
Thanks woody. This is what we will need to do. But the beams have no pre drilled holes. How do I drill holes in the beam? Is it structurally allowed?
BTW I have managed to put some good images... in case it helps.
 
Yes just use a drill suitable for steel. Unless you remove the flange or something it won't be collapsing
 
A sharp bit in a reasonable drill will do. Slow speed, not high. 11mm bit for m10 bolts will do

For joists you want to use structural timber usually c16. They won't need to be treated as it's a dry area indoors.
 
C24 is a higher grade than C16 - You may pay more for C24 all depends what your local builders merchant stocks really, I use travis and their timber is stamped C24.
