Ive recently fitted a bath.

Does anybody have any advice as to how to make sure it stays as secure as possible? I thought we'd done quite a good job. But, when the bath's full, it sinks slightly

Thanks

What's it sat on, solid wood floorboards, chipboard, ply....

If it's on a wooden floor, stand the feet on some bearers to spread the load over several floor joists. A couple of pieces of 4 X 2 usually works well.

Replace chipboard flooring under the tub with plywood (moisture can reduce chipboard to something resembling soggy wheetabix)

Securely fix battens to the wall behind the tub for the lip around the edge of the tub to rest on.

Make sure all the feet are carrying their fair share of the load.

Build a framework of, say, 2 X 2 timbers to fit behind the bath panel and support to the front of the tub.

Fill the tub with water before sealing to tiles to reduce the chance of any flexing breaking the seal.

Thanks for your replies.

I've pretty much done what has been suggested. But will maybe reinforce it some more.

Bath is acrylic, floor boards are marine Weyroc.

Thanks again
