Supremacy of Parliament. "the arm twisting and arguments failed"

There is nothing compelling us to resign

We had a referendum and the majority voted leave.
If you want to stay in the eu then pack yer bags and move there.
If it hadn't been for government lies and scare mongering the leave majority would have been much larger.
Their will never be peace in this country as long as we are part of the eu.
I'll never accept a currency cooked up by the eu cartel backed by the german jack boot.

Theresa May was, and is, a career politician willing to abandon her principles, and act against the interests of her country, for the chance of attaining power.

Whats a career politician? Do we have MPs that are somehow dont have a career?

Since the country voted leave, TM is therefore acting in the interests of the country......

She did not think that was the case before the referendum.

How can her beliefs have changed because of a vote?
Do you change your beliefs because a lot of people disagree with you?

It would appear that she, and a lot of others, would rather do what they consider undesirable, and hence keep their jobs, than stick to their principles.

Do you change your beliefs because you can get promoted to a better (though temporary) job?

yes

He seems to approve of Theresa and her underlings changing sides in the hope of keeping their jobs for a bit longer.

afaik the majority of MP's are remainers ? in which case why does not the opposition (Corbyn) call for a vote on over turning the referendum ?

They have the numbers in Parliament ??

Who knows what the future holds?

Remember, in the UK, the Supremacy of Parliament.

The current government fought tooth and nail to prevent Parliament having the final say; and were defeated.

Some people, like Roger, are very anxious to prevent anyone having the chance to evaluate what Brexit ends up meaning, and decide if it is better or worse than continued membership. Rather like having a two-year engagement with a compulsory wedding at the end, even if you find out in the meantime that your betrothed is a liar, an idiot, and a crook.

 ball cocks

They have already had a vote due to the intervention of the high court

have another one , most of em are remainers on all sides of the political divide , get together and vote it down. Put forward a bill ? & then we can ignore the referendum result & carry on with the EU member ship

Or would they rather try and weasel out of the referendum via stealth ;) All of the MPs in the house , Corbyn included should man up and act like they have got a pair

Or perhaps they are putting there jobs / carreers before the good of the country

yes, that's what the ones supporting the Quitters are doing.

I won't be surprised if the final Brexstorm is put to the country for a decision.

If/when we do rejoin the EU, we'll need a new generation in power who are committed to it. It's no good having whining complainers trying to blame foreigners for our own failings.

who will that be Corbyn the quitter  It matters not if they do vote down the referendum , The EU will implode in due course.

Total chaos will ensue ;)

As for a new generation the EU would be well advised to get rid of the bunch of ageing old duffers that run or administer it none of whom were ever democratically voted in :)

It is unlikely to change the Brexit decision. Those people that voted have now weakened the governments strength and therefore likely to mean a worse trade deal.

Just as long as those remoaners remember that, when they start whingeing about a poor trade deal.

Remoaners : they are snivelling quitters

Sound like scaremongering to me

Well unless you want to explain your comment which thus far you haven't, but perhaps you have inadvertently provided an apt comment to your post?

Put forward a bill ?
Introducing Private Members' Bills
Like other Public Bills, Private Members' Bills can be introduced in either House and must go through the same set stages. However, as less time is allocated to these Bills, it is less likely that they will proceed through all the stages.
The government would vote it down, or filibuster, or some other time-wasting behaviour.
Private Bills only change the law as it applies to specific individuals or organisations, rather than the general public.
So the government pretty much has it sewn up about introducing Bills before parliament.
