So I generate small volumes of trade waste, boiler parts, packaging and the usual junk that goes with the territory for being a boiler man. Have used HippoWaste bags for the last few years, a pallet with wheels sits on my drive with a bag on and every few weeks I drag it over to the van and empty my carp into the bag. Every couple of months the bag is full and Hippo come and collect for a hundred odd squids...
Two months ago, my bag got stolen? And today - Stolen again!!!
I live in North Herts - No vans permitted without a permit, no dumping of commercial or "suspected" commercial waste which means I cannot even dump my own dishwasher (As I found out the other day)...
There has to be a better way? What does everyone else do? I thought I'd cracked it with Hippo, expensive but an easy solution... Now my bags are being stolen for the odd pump housing and bit of brass this is getting ridiculous - Especially as I know if the waste gets tipped (Which I'm guessing it will be) and then gets traced to me - I'm liable for the cleanup and the fine! Do I now have to keep it locked up and in the house?
