Hi all
House is 1930s
A few of my rafters are twisted where they meet the ridge, a couple are worse than others, also i have water marks in the same rafters, alswell as a few others, the roof was replaced by the previous owner in 2014 as it was leaking whick is evident from marks on the ceilings in the bedroom
I've checked the water marks with a moisture reader and it measures 17% which is 2% more that the unmarked timber
Is a twist quite normal for rafters? as I've had the roofer out that replaced the slate on the roof and he seemed all was ok he also thought that the wet marks were just marks and the roof Isn't leaking
I would just like a second opinion on here to ensure I'm not getting mugged off by the roofer
I haven't got pics of the twisted timber yet but have pics of the water marks
Thanks in advance
Ryan
