Currently batterning a bedroom wall to receive 50mm Celotex before plasterboard /plaster.
Given the vertical batterns are fixed to receive 600mm wide Celotex Slab, what should be the ctrs for horizontal cross batterns (best practice).
Need to get it right as Building inspector is involved in job.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

There is no real need for horizontal (wall fixed) battens though we do fit one where the board joint occurs - usually 1200mm up from the floor.

Central or 1/3rd span noggins are fitted in stud walls.

Many thanks noseall
