Hi all

I am moving back into my parents old house in the coming months. I am after, as usual, some advice on the work i need to get done in ascending order.
The house is a 1950's prefab and is quite dated and needs updating, so what i wish to do is as follows, but not sure in what order,

full rewire
kitchen refurb
entrance porch extension with a bedroom extension above
removal of old boiler and combi installed
removal of downstairs toilet, space left to be used in conjunction with the kitchen

All advice will be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

If the property is empty?
Start ripping everything out that is going, you can leave a toilet.
Get extension up and water tight
Then start with plumbing first fix, then electrical first fix.
Insulation and Floor down in extension.
Plasterer can then do there bit.
Kitchen fitted, bathroom fitted
Second fix plumbing and electrical
Joiner for doors, skirting etc..
Paint/decorate/tile.
Then flooring covers carpet, laminate etc..

Thanks for the reply and advice, the property will be occupied by my brother but want to get some of the work done before i move in, so would that make a change for what you advised?

The order would be much the same, just that would need to keep toilet and washing facilities available for occupant.
And because occupied often the work will take longer, as there will be obstruction in working areas.
