Hi, can you help me?
My friend came around to stay last weekend and she went to have a shower and after she had a shower, she told me that the shower is making a whining/whistle noise when she using it. I never really noticed it as I am deaf and not sure how long it been like this, I fitted it about 7 years ago and working fine.

I thought it might be pressure may be too high so I fitted PRV to reduced 8 bar off the main to 3 bar but no diffenent. I turned the knob up and down, the noise goes high and low.

What could it be a problem....?

Can anyone advise me before I spend quids on another new shower.
Shower is Mira electric 9kw shower.

Cheers, Dan.

depends what mira shower it is.

quite poss its the flow/stabiliser valve.

Thanks for the reply.

It a Mira Sport 9kw shower, with black flowvalve.

I have turn down to reduce the pressure on PRV while shower is running and it seem to stop noise from shower.

So problem solved for now.

Thanks.
