Advice please. Have to replace an old (1994) keston and need a new std. condensing boiler, @22kW, with flue system as flexible as keston's, as it's to be located on an inside wall and will replace 2no. 40mm dia MUPVC flue/inlet pipes fitted between ceiling joists, running to outside, as used with old bolier.
Q1. is there a keston competitor that has equally flexible flue/inlet arrangement, using MUPVC or long reach concentric or separate flue/inlet (6m with 2no. 90deg vertical bends), as I can't find one on the net?
Q2. Any bad news so far about the relatively new keston qudos 28, following the extensive and well documented problems with Celsius 25s?
Thanks.

You've been lucky to get 14 years out of it I think! Can you go to a 80mm twin flue as that would allow you to use an Atag boiler which are much better built and reliable than what you've suggested.

Very limited.

However we are now fitting Vaillants up chimneys with a new flexi flue system, so if your property has an internal chimney this could be an option.

Keston are best avoided at any cost.

Is that with the air inlet from the room so effectively turning them into a conventional boiler or a seperate piped air inlet?

Its the Poloujat system, air in and out up the chimney......

What did you end up replacing your boiler with? Are you happy with the result?
I have a similar flue issue to yours - mine is c 7m and has to go through the ceilings.. One engineer has recommended a Keston Qudos 28 for that reason, but after reading the reviews, I won't go anywhere near a Keston.

bear in mind that any concealed flue must now be inspectable throughout its length which means cutting inspection hatches all the way across your ceiling.
