Possibly a really stoopid question but the Aga ran perfectly for 4 years until we fitted a new boiler. Now the gas valve has gone and it's running very hot and burning everything, even turned right down. Could fluctuations in gas pressure have goosed it?

Aga bloke is coming Friday, meanwhile I type this from a deckchair, in swimmers with a knotted hankie on my head, sunglasses and a cocktail with a little paper umbrella. Think I'll turn the damned thing off and suffer the complaints from 'er indoors.

I would say that the problems with your AGA is a coincidence... Turn it off and let it cool down.... How is the service engineer expected to work on a red hot lump of pig iron?

Or the ones who say they have not had the heating on (oil combis), just the hot water
