Hello everyone,

Our house has a broken roof tile and we are looking at getting it repaired. The tile has been missing for a couple of months, but as winter is soon approaching we want to try and get it repaired before the weather gets bad. I've uploaded two photographs of the roof and the broken tile.

I am wondering if anyone knows what the cost is likely to be for getting this roof tile repaired/replaced. I'm hoping that someone can tell me a rough figure, for example is it likely to be £100, £500, £1000 etc. We don't have any experience in roof repairs and aren't particularly well off, so don't want to be taken for a ride.

Thank you very much for reading this and any advice is really appreciated. Thanks again.

Definetely the £100 bracket will have to be replaced only problem being the tiles could be double nailed even though will be £100 maximum while you're at it though ridge tiles at the peak of the roof will need to be re-pointed and maybe even re-bedded. Should get it done for around £250 depending on location etc

£60............and your fascia and soffits could be doing with a lick of paint ;)

piece of cake provided there is access from below (no conservatory or like) If anyone tries to charge more than £60.00 tell me to go away!! it's a five minute job, nailed or not.

Thank you everyone! Your advice is really appreciated. I had no idea what the cost of repair would be, but I have a rough idea now. Thank you.

The missing/broken tile is on a part of the roof which is above the garage. I've taken a screenshot of a Google Earth image to try and show what I mean. The garage juts out from the front of the house and the tile is pretty much directly above the garage. I would image this would make the repair work much harder?

Once again, thank you for your responses!

Has the garage got a flat roof? If it has it would still be no problem
