I wasn't addressing you, dextrous, but since you're here you can go and change the straw in the school cormorant's cage. DON'T RUN!. And tuck your shirt in.
wow..
nice to know I'm not welcome on the plumbing forum.. thanks for that..
thank you to Dex and Goldberg for at least trying to defend me somewhat.
I never called the plumber an idiot.
that other post wasn't about my kitchen and I was trying to help since no one else had, and then Dex and I got the wrong ends of each other sticks and argued a bit..
I made an honest mistake when I thought that the connection on the bottom of a tap was a tap connector and not a compression joint missing it's olive and nut.
The plumber was only supposed to do the gas pipe and I was going to do the rest later, but he said he could do it and had the parts with him, is a family friend and was short of work that week so I said ok....
it worked out cheaper in the end since I didn't have to go out and buy a blowtorch and solder and a heat mat etc..

Now you've only got to get a new shower, a plumber to fit it and a PART P Approved NICEIC Domestic Installer spark to connect it ('cos big industrial boys like you aren't allowed to do this )
for the purpouse of the kitchen, I am working for free for my uncles company who will notify for me.. he will inspect at first fix and test at completion.
