Or is it all down to height above outlet?
I'm looking to improve shower pressure in my gravity fed system without spending much.
Thanks

If you are young and female then DIA, who also lives in Bath, will call round and show you how to do it.

Sorry if I've duplicated a post. I did search but couldn't find an answer.

I did read (some) of that post - got a bit technical for me! Just want to know whether to bother increasing from a 25 gal tank to a 50 gal?

And I'm afraid I'm not young and not female! :)

Extra capacity might help if you want to run a pumped shower, but other than that, unless the top water level in the tank is significantly higher, you're not going to see any increase in shower pressure.

You can, however, increase pressure at the shower head by increasing the height between the CWST and the shower head

Thanks for that. I'll try and raise the tank I think. Want to avoid cost and noise of pump if possible.
Cheers

You mean raising the storage tank Sparky

In most cases with the cistern on the floor of the loft the head is less than 1 m to the shower head.

Increasing the cistern height by say 1 m doubles the pressure and makes a very worthwhile improvement.

In many cases this is easily possible using an old left over galvanised tank on its side.
