bath tap shower mixer

Hi,

I have moved in to a new flat which has a shower mixer attached to the bath taps. Both hot and cold water work fine but when I try to mix them I can only have too hot or too cold.

Any advice would be appreciated.

It's a combi boiler shared loft tank for cold.

right so the combi is fed from the mains and the cold from the tank

yes as far as I am aware.

your never going to balance unequal pressures that far out

it might be worth cleaning the shower head but

shower head is clean.

What who you suggest I do to have a decent shower?!

pump on the cold is about all you can do

sorry, I am confused.

The cold water works fine on its own and the pressure is great. As is the hot water. What would a pump do differently?

unless the mains is really poor or your tank is 10m up above the shower head you have unequal pressure

if the pressures where the other way round it can be sorted easily

pump on the cold is about all you can do

Or connect the shower cold inlet to cold mains...
