Ideal classic SE12ff

I have a customer who proudly ownes an Ideal classic SE12ff, the controls consist of Sunvic select Xl.
Unfortunatley the hot water will only function with the heating switched on, this was neglected over the winter period now the hotter wether is fast approaching a solution is being saught does anyone have a suggestion on how to get the hot water to switch independantly as it should or indeed what could be causing this problem???

So when you select HW only the boiler won't fire, but when you select HW and CH it does?

Need to check demand from programmer (with HW only selected) via terminal box to cylinder stat and boiler (and pump) and verify presence of SWL at boiler.

To further assist diagnosis,what system configuration is it? Y plan or S plan or other.

Not being funny here, but its your customer? If your charging a heating engineers wage out of this surely you know you must provide more info

well my friends sister to be precise allthough a fee will be involved, i`m not charging a heating engineers wage, i`m charging an ELECTRICIANS wage as that is my trade.
They have had plumbers and heating engineers to look at the system with no prevail hence my involvment.
I have knowledge of all of the electrical systems I.E the supply, controls (programmer, thermostat, boiler PCb etc etc) and most of the mechanical system.
The mid position valve recently burned out and recently been replaced (by the plumber) the wiring was inncorrect at the 10 junction box, I have redeemed this by following the wiring diagrams. Technical support suggested replacement of the programmer, their advice was followed.
The problem still pressists.
I am searching for help as I realize that there are specialists in this field which have a greater knowledge than me of such faults and may assist me.
This site is not here for such assumtions and insults as yours as this does not help anyone, surely!!?
I have extracted from your poorly constructed reply that more information is needed to be presented for further diagnosis and this I will thank you for.
