hi eveyone new to this forum, would just like a bit of advice regarding cutting a opening of six foot, through 2 rooms.the wall in load bearing i just wanted to know if i get a concrete 2.4mx6 inch lintel would this be ok??

It's not as straight forward as that, you need to know what the load that is being carried, you really need calcs by a structural engineer, also you will need to apply for building controls for permission to carry out the work.

not for permission... its internal.. maybe for regs.... but not for permission...
 
You'll need to make an application to building controls, so you can have the work signed off and a certificate issued, to say that it complies to building regulations.
Even if it's an internal wall, if it's structural needs to comply.
You should not continue with this work, without prior consent.
