I have a Ideal Isar HE 35 boiler (3 years old). The fan needs to be changed, so the plumber told me on Thursday after 4 days of no heating and no hot water. He managed to get it started again and it was fine until tonight...I still have hot water (thank god!) but no heating.
I have a "d" on the LED screen which I believe is normal.
The plumber will come back tomorrow or tuesday to change the fan and will also be able to fix this as well (hopefully!), so I am not too worried, but still would like to know if it sounds serious...or even, is there anything I can do?
Thanks

If my memory serves me rightly...

D would represent the appliance being in Domestic Hot Water mode...

Go round your property and look for any taps that are turned on or leaking, and then work your way back to the boiler looking for a leaking hot water pipe...

That might just suffice.

Thank you so much guys!...it was the hot tap, left on...by the boyfriend!!!
Thanks for your quick response you saved me from pneumonia.

You are very welcome :D

May I ask, if you were going to pay the Plumber for his time tomorrow, that you please donate at least 10% of that value to a charity, and tell me which charity you chose?

Thanks

I figured it best somebody benefits from the knowledge I give away...
