hi, are other trades like floorlayers aloowed to remove a electric cooker and then reconnect?

Or does it need to be done by a spark or maybe just tested after by a spark?

Can a floorlayer remove a plug from a fridge maybe that the wire is passed through a small hole and then reconnect?

I take it that there is no issues moving stuff that has a proper 13amp plug on?

Thanks

If the other tradesman/woman is only disconnecting and re-connecting the appliance, and not interfering with the electrical installation, there should be no issue.

So they can disconnect the cooker also that goes into the spur on a wall? Im talking about cookers with maybe 4mm - 6 mm cable that you have to undo the grub screws to release the wires?

thanks by the way.

There's no problem for anyone to connect or disconnect an appliance to an existing point or circuit.

The issue only arises if the installation (ie the fixed wiring) is altered.

They can disconnect the appliance from the outlet plate. So they can move it and get on with their work.
