Conservatory flooring... concrete or just sand?

i say conservatory, extension is probably a better name.

there were 3 walls already they did the fourth and the roof. There was little extension already on which got demolished and had the old boiler there which has since been moved.

The plot thickens.....So these existing walls, I presume which were the side walls and the existing house wall....do they have their own foundation?

did I hear the words "Building Regulations" and "Planning Permission"?

They do. I was mainly inquiring about the floor though. What are you thinking?

they are thinking that it is not at all a conservatory it is a small extension and as such is liable to building regulations wheras a simple conservatory is not.

Are the company doing the work a conservatory company or a building firm?

Also i don't want to sound picky but all of our comments regarding terrible shoddy work were based on the fact that it looked like a solid floor but you said there was no concrete there, only sand under the floor but now you say there is no sand?? Also can you not show us the joists? It doesn't sound likely but this could be a type of suspended floor arrangment.
