On this boiler, if the boiler thermostat fails, will the boiler still work, maybe with possible overheating, or will the burners fail to light at all? Any advice much appreciated, thank you.
Either could happen, I would recommend a RGI to look at it if it's an open flue boiler so that the, very important, safety checks can be done on the flue.
twgas, thanks for reply. I had it serviced, cleaned and flue check a month ago by RGI, but since then I feel that the burner is not shutting-off when hot. I think I shall try to source a replacement thermostat, then see the RGI to fit it.
