Moda click waste not standard

just tried to connect the bottle trap to a Moda click waste only to find that the thread on the waste is too small, has anyone come across this its about 2 mm out is this a european size?

thanks for that, the sink and waste were bought from an english firm and they claim this is a standard 32mm fitting.
