Hi all, am after some advice.
I'm having some problems with the DHW. When running a tap, the boiler is getting to approx 70, the flame cuts out, boiler cools down, then flames reignites after approx 25secs.
I does this everytime the boiler reaches approx 70. So as you can imagine, this is very annoying when in the shower!!!

Any ideas?

I have cleaned the heat exchangers already, this hasn't made a difference.

1 Most likely, your system is full of crap.
2 Just cleaning the heat exchangers does not solve that
3 I very much doubt that you managed to clean your heat exchangers yourself

Sorry???
How do you 'very much doubt I managed to clean the heat exchangers myself'?
I took both exchangers off the boiler and used a descaling solution on them. I also flushed the system through.
Neither of these have made a difference.

Only a gas registered engineer should open the combustion chamber and remove the main heat exchanger!

What chemical did you use for "descaling"?

What do you think the "scale" consisted of?

Our experience is that DIYers rarely clean them properly. Since the symptoms persist then we dont think that you have cleaned it.

You also say that you flushed" the system. How did you do that and what chemicals did you use?

A sentinel Descaler was used and an inhibitor put in the system after.

I have been reading air temp sensor in the flue could cause an issue.

Which Sentinel descaler?

What do you think the "scale" consisted of?
