hi, can any1 please help, i have got a biasi m90e 24s boiler. i have had a new pump and fan fitted in the last 12 months so cant imagine it to be that,

When i turn the heating or the tap on it makes a clicking sound as if its trying to start, it does this for about 30 secs then stops and after another 30 secs it tries again, also the green light on the right flashes about every second continuously.

many thanks HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP

sounds like it's trying toignite but can't, will be a gas related problem probably.

the burner doesnt light up at all, the red lockout light stays off, it does sound like its trying to ignite, when the gas has gone off in the past thats usually when the red light comes on, i

It does sound like a gas/combustion problem. That would need an RGI.

If you wanted to do a little more you could search for instructions on this forum to see the three lights and what the fault code is shown as. But realistically thats unlikely to help in this case.

thanks tony,

@bobthebender: ive had faults with the fan before and it used to blow the fuse so i had a new fan fitted.

A problem caused by a fault with the gas or combustion process!

You did not answer my question.

If the fan turns it could be the flue.full sequence, air pressure switch, venturi etc.
If it does not turn then try pump, main flow switch, main temp probe and as above.

Its INSIDE the combustion chamber which you should only be opened by a gas reg engineer.

Unlikely to be that though ( if the two plugs on top of the boiler are in place on the test point tubes! )

Tony: another small problem i have..

ive had my gas fire for 7 years, it wont light up with the ignition anymore and when i use my lighter to light it, the pilot flame lights but the fire wont light up fully even if i hold it in for a while, when i took a closer look at the ignition it seems that the bit of metal that comes out of the ceramic igniter has broke off. i know these are quite cheap and i think this would prevent the ignition from working but i would of thought that it should start up with a lighter. would it possibly be the whole ignition and pilot system, if so are these replacable and how much roughly do they cost and also what would a corgi engineer charge to fit 1.

many thanks Dan
