I love cooking

Have ago at the Indian food in your spare time. It's really not that difficult. Buy yourself a good recipe book and stick to it. The worst part about cooking asian food is the amount of ingredients you have to buy first. You can create some great chicken dishes buy marinading it then cooking it on the BBQ to give it that real charred taste.

Perhaps you can serve it next time. Good luck with whatever you decide to cook. :)

I cook in many styles, but anything new is always good to "~get your teeth into".

My sons love my Thai curries, friends the lamb curry.
The special woman loves the fish pie.

Generally after cooking I cannot be bothered to eat. All the tasting to get it right fills me up :D

LOL @ the veggies trying to make others feel guilty. We are omnivores and designed to eat little porky the pig or larry the lamb. Especially beef mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Eat what you like and stop telling others its bad or animals deserve better, its nature. And we are head of the food chain. Unless your in a jungle and a leopard is after you, then your going to be 2nd best unless you have a big gun :D .

Reminds me of that old joke; two men in the jungle and they are facing up to a cheetah, one of the men starts putting his Nike running shoes on. The other says "You don't think you can out run it do you?" and the first one replies "No, but I only need to out run you!"

Agreed, but when you open the "spice cupboard" its a little piece of heaven in the kitchen!
And my spice cupboard is massive :D

Absolutely 100% with you there Alarm. I love the smell that blasts right out at you when you open the spice cupboard. The smell of cinnamon is my favourite, closely followed by star anise.

Just looked at your link, I have that book somewhere. Got a case of books in the shed I packed as was running out of room.

I find it a really good book. Easy to follow, I don't consider myself a novice at cooking but some Asian stuff can be quite complex.
The recipe for naan is the best I've used and always comes out that proper light and fluffy way with just a hint of chewiness

Thanks Alarm, just bought a copy for £2.71 :D

As it's Amazon (and it's now situated 5 miles from my house) I should expect delivery sometime in July...

My favourite dish to cook has to be Beef Stifado. The taste of the slow cooked beef together with red wine, red wine vinegar, shallots tomatoes, cinnamon, spices and herbs is great. Cooked for at least 5 hrs in a slow oven, the meat just melts in your mouth. ;) ;)
