how to stop the bell ringing when working on alarm (texecom)

i have a texecom premier 24 panel and a texecom odysy bell box.

i havent finished fitting my alarm yet but it is part installed and working, what i want to know is when i power my panel down is the a way to stop the bell outside ringing without having to get my extension ladders out and getting up to it?

also what is the difference between SAB and SCB?
