Hello Everyone,This is my first post so any help would be appreciated. I have an Ideal Classic RS 260 wall hung balanced flue gas boiler. It
has Two, Two Port Diverter Valves and is wired with a Lifestyle Heating Control Pack. The boiler is in my garage and also has a stat at the side of the bolier. I assume this is a frost stat. For the last 6 months the Pump sometimes carries on running when the water and heating is off.both valves closed .Also when the Programmer Central Heating button is off the Heating stays on if the Wall Stat calls for it. So basically i turn the heating on and off with the room wall stat. I have fitted two new diverter valves as i was told the micro-switches were sticking but this has not done anything. The Hot Water seems to work ok ie with Programmer as it should and cylinder stat works ok. I have been told i need to replace the Pump Overrun stat but can find no mention of it when looking at the Parts Manual. Can anyone help please.

The classic never had a pump ovverrun stat.

Its fookin bulletproof this boiler and , well, lets just say this is a Missouri Class Battleship whereas new boilers a just Type 22 destroyers by comparison It will go one forever.

Anything been changed on this system by anyone.....you even?

Anyone could have touched anything perhaps....?

Yes the pump and boiler stop when stat is turned down.

Then i would check the programmer sounds like ch is still giving out a live when ch is off.

Just read your last post you say you fitted a new programmer.
So where is the wall stat getting the live from when it should be off ? ie at the programmer.

Good point dont know anything about electrics but what you are saying is when ch button is pressed off it cuts power to wall stat?

Did boiler/pump fire uu
Just tried it, when programmer ch switched off and stat turned up full the boiler doesnt fire up and the ch valve does close.Pump does not stop running.
When switch ch on at programmer valve opens up and boiler fires up. perhaps these items do work and because i have heard the pump running i have assumed the heating is on when it is only the pump running on?? Thanks i am losing the plot now?

so that's working ok.

Pump does not stop running.
Does it ever stop ?
Check where the pump live is wired to.
Is it wired to the 2 orange wires of the valves ?

Turned wall stat down to 0 Programmer ch switched off.Pump is still running. The live from the pump Brown i assume is not wired to the two orange wires from the pump.
