I remember the Lauda crash but only vaguely.

Having watched this programme I am astonished at Lauda's recovery, rapid return to racing((5 weeks from the crash and being at death's door to racing) and bravery, what a racing driver.

I loved the comment from Hunt to Lauda at Monza(1st race upon return)

"Niki, you are the only guy I know that can get out of a burning car, better looking"

James Hunt was rhyming slang I think. He was a complete noob !

I quite liked the bloke.

He might not have been everyone's cuppa but he was a dedicated driver and his cavalier attitude disappeared once he was buckled in.

He was a boorish oaf if you ask me, but then he spoke highly of me too!

I thought he was a very good commentator and analyst and was grateful for the corrections of the numerous mistakes by the still unfathomably lauded Murray Walker.
