I have live in an old property (over 200yrs) which has been damp proofed..
I thought I had a damp problem & have just had the company back after testing it has been concluded it is condensation. This is showing itself behind the settee, which is against the outside wall, although there is an air gap.
I was thinking that if I have a small fan (something like the fans in a computer) it may be enough to move the air behind the settee.
So I am after a small 240v fan any ideas/links welcomed

Thanks

Its condensation & the expert said use standard matt emulsion as it breaths

Whole room needs ventilation, not just behind the sofa.
Who concluded it was condensation?

Foxhole,
The people that did the damp proofing 7 years ago, he was here for an hour.
As an aside: Prior to buying the property last year, our survey said there was damp, it was inspected then & it was established not damp but as it had been so wet it was just unusually high moisture.
We had no problems last winter which was long & bloody cold.

I was thinking maybe a greenhouse type tubular heater would do the job.

But mine did.
He came, he saw, he checked. he measured, we spoke, there was no charge & a report will be done.
Its a family business., that's been going almost 25years.
I accept this type of business can be a bit fly by night.
