Hi, I've been looking through all the Worcester boiler posts I can find, but haven't had any luck...

Everything was working fine until I noticed that the radiators were half cold so I bled the radiators in the flat. (First time in about 2 yrs+) Then the heating stopped working. I established from looking around here that I needed to repressurise the boiler, which I did until the meter read just over 1. (Worcester Greenstar Junior 28I).

The pressure is now still just over 1, but there is no heating or hot water. The boiler is on, but doesn't seem to be working at all. Is there anything that I can do? The flat is freezing but can't really afford to bring in a guy right now unless there is a serious problem.

Any help would be incredibly helpful. Thanks

First make sure you have the thermostat on the boiler turned up, the clock to on and room stat turned up.

TRVs open

Did it lock out? Does it need resetting

Reset Button pushed and held in for 10 seconds? according to the Wooster PDFit is just to the left of the pressure gauge.

Of course you have!

Hi, thanks for the replies.

Thermostats all turned up and clocks on. TVRs all open.

Just held reset for 10 seconds. Boiler fired up for about 5 seconds, as if back to normal, then quickly went back to how it was...

Also...
Blue light is on (not flickering)

Suggest you download from Worcester site a pdf copy of installation/service booklet (if you not have the hard copy left by the installer)

At the bottom, pages 67 onwards, is a series of warning light combinations, where the circuit board is giving a clue as to where that PCB thinks the fault(s) lie.

Have a read, and see if any combo of blue light & reset lamp flashes meet what you have….

Do you have hot water ?

A blue light indicates that the boiler is on, I'm still suspecting it hasn't got a demand

No hot water. Normally, obviously, turning hot water on would fire up the boiler immediately.

Looking at the manual, a solid blue light with out the boiler firing could be a fan or board fault, but I think you would be very unlucky for that to be the case just from re pressurising the system

Yeah thats what I thought. Looking at the manual, I can't see anything else that I can test. It does sound like there is a demand problem, but I can't understand why. When resetting, the green light comes on, the boiler fires up, but then nothing else happens.

I've turned it on and off. Is there anything else I could try perhaps?

It could be the boiler is air locked, there is a vent pipe for the hex at the top of the boiler which you could run some water off into a bucket.

Or the pump may be jammed and need a spin, remove the disc on the from with a towel underneath it and check that the impeller is spinning.

Look up how to vent the hex in the commissioning section of your manual

Hmmm. Think this is a little bit above my (very low) level of ability. Think I'm going to have to get someone in to take a look.

Thanks very much for your help though!
