If I take 3m of 28mm copper pipe and run a 747 along the length of it so the tube is egg shaped.

Is the volume the same, less or more.

To answer that question is need you to clarify the following ...

Which of the 6, 747 variants?
Weight at time of crushing the tube.

Let's for the sake of it presume you mean a 747-400 @ MTOW (330,000kg), then the volume of 3m of 28mm tube would be less, in fact it's likely that it would be zero because it would be bloody flat!

Do you want to explain the effect that disturbing the pipe by crushing it would have on laminar flow and pressure drop?
