water constantly running in to tank, from vent pipe from ray burn tried lowering water level in tank no change,then closed gate valve on feed out of the tank,this stopped water running in to tank ,no water running in from immersion tank

gate valve in open position removed more water tank down to trickle now would raising expansion pipe/crook higher would have to go outside with pipe to get it higher any ideas thanks for reply
