Is this Asbestos

Hi guys

I know you can't tell exactly is something is asbestos over the internet but wondered if anyone had any opinions on as to whether it might be.

Basically in the basement of a house we are looking at there is some board on the ceiling that looks like it may be Asbestos Insulating Board.

A few pictures are attached to help show what it looks like.

The only way you can be sure one way or the other is to have it tested. Until then leave it alone.

It looks quite fibrous and would certainly ring alarm bells for me.

Getting it tested is not particularly expensive and can be done by post if you are willing to carefully remove a section.

Or they know fine well it's asbestos but don't want the hassle?
