A bit in advance I suppose, but I'll be worse for wear tmrw night....

We've had our up's and downs, arguments, "banter" - but hey!, it is what it is.

Happy New Year to you all.
Let's hope it's a good one.

A Happy New Year to all the posters on here and your families.
I'm sure that the banter will continue into 2016, but hey, that's what makes the world go round.

Happy New Year to you all.

The banter was what made the forum interesting, even when disagreeing with the views of others. Think how boring it would be if we all thought the same way (about as interesting as watching noseall break dance whilst drinking a yard of Babycham).

I agree. Once again, in the absence of Dropclanger (and his 'mates') this forum is much more pleasant but, as you say, suffers from a distinct lack of interest. Both light-hearted banter and forceful argument lends interest to a discussion.

I believe that the freedom to discuss matters such as the current immigration problem, EU membership and the IZAL problem should still be possible provided that no personal offence is given. I realise, of course, that 'friendly banter' can be misinterpreted on here (and anywhere on the internet) and so I suggest that any such comments intended as being humorous should only be addressed to members who we know to share our sense of humour.

Again, as I suggested elsewhere, if anyone feels offended by a comment is it possible that we can just ignore the poster and not respond in kind - 'passive self-moderation'! Anything else would just cause a thread to deteriorate and, eventually, get deleted.

I'd have replied earlier, but our crappy Virgin Media broadband has been down yet again, this time all evening. I've made my mind up to ditch them and get a BT line installed and have asked several questions in the 'Software' forum, if anyone feels able to help.

Anyway, happy New Year from me too, everyone.

We must think of others not so fortunate at this time of year. Afterall, it must be difficult for WWT to find anyone to walk with
