Hi,
Have just moved into a new house and have a Burley G4220 flueless gas heater in the main living room area. Recently purchased a new bottle of propane gas which was connected alonside an existing bottle which was about one quarter full.

The pilot light operates as expected after a number of goes and when the main heat control is turned up to produce the main heating flame, it only stays on for so long and then both the pilot light and main jet switches off. The amount of time appears to depend on how high the heating setting is adjusted. The higher it is the quicker it shuts off which can be as little as 5 to 10 seconds. On very low heat settings it stays on for 1 or 2 minutes before shutting off.

Have given the jets and pilot light area a good brushing out and tried operating the fire with the main door open which oddly keeps the fire on longer before it shuts down.

I have felt along the thermocouple pipe and it definitely has a number of flattened regions which I wondered if could be the cause of these problems. Also wondered if the gas pressure could be too low causing the gas to shut off.

There appears to be no air drawing effect above the applicance that I can detect using a smoking match etc.

Any thoughts or ideas in with this issue would be greatfully appreciated.

Regards
FarmerJohn
