Hello,

I am going to need to replace the two in my airing cupboard and I've been informed I have to replace them with Sunvics. I can't use other manufacturers as it would mean replacing the valves as well. Is that correct?

I have an SZM1802 and an SZM1803.

Thanks.

yep, just go ahead and change them like for like and be happy you don't have other zone valves where you can't remove the heads. because you'd then be having to drain the system.
get yourself two of these and make it even easier.

cant understand why you would have to replace both ? and havent heard of the numbers you are quoting but the SZM range are what is called MOMO, meaning Motor on Motor off, most 2 port valves have motor on and spring return so no you cant use other makes , whey do you need to replace both ?

How the fook does that make it easier ??
Fitting them would mean twice as many connections and much "Fiddlier" ......Is that a real word ??
Not to mention the expense.
Any future replacements would still mean wiring a fookin plug.

Wago boxes and connectors are far easier if wiring center is a mess.https://www.googleadservices.com/pa...hUKEwjq0um58PrYAhXEC8AKHf3SCoQQ9aACCDI&adurl=

BG like using plugs on the valves, they often make a right mess of wiring them too.

where i am, quite often it's just a double patress box with a gazillion connector blocks inside. with 10 neutrals in one! also we don't fook as much as you by the looks ;)

I'm pretty sure that I could wire 2 valves with the wago before you did one.

I have used both and wago is less than half price !! :)
