Promax combi he plus boiler fitted with cordless room thermostat panel. Batteries removed boiler doesnt fire up - correct as not recieving info from cordless panell BUT on 3 occassions now after being out all day regardless of warm or cold day the C/H has been on an the house is toasty warm- and there has been no batteries in the cordless panell to tell the boiler to fire up etc .... scratching our heads with it now ...

Doubt that’ll solve the issue... most likely just leave you with some nasty abrasions!
I have come across similar situations due to the neighbours having the same RF thermostat and it switching the heating next door.
Some thermostats & receivers go through a pairing procedure when first installed so that shouldn't happen. Others, generally the cheaper versions have manual settings (eg Salus) these tend to be left on the factory RF address code when installed, so interference can occur with other nearby units also on the factory setting. If yours does have manual RF settings and they are still factory set, try changing them.
