Poor old Tim...

Profits are plummeting at his s hitty Wetherspoon boozers...

But of course Tim simply blames everyone who opposes his xenophobic views and desire to profit from brexit...

Instead of him realising that it's his inability to understand the real consequences of his 'crusade' against the EU...

With wafer thin margins, hopefully this spiv will be in for an almighty fall...

Because the real brexit chickens are coming home to roost...

a rise in labour costs

I believe he was forced to inch above "poverty wages" after a strike.

He's always been in favour of low pay.

in 2015 "Wetherspoon boss attacks minimum wage plan as profits slump"

"Wetherspoon boss Tim Martin said the company’s employees were its most valuable asset."
"The minimum starting rate for over-18s at the chain is £8.05 for bar staff and £8.25 for kitchen workers"

Are you saying he pays less than his competitors? If Wetherspoons wages are much lower how do they get any staff?

Wetherspoons runs in very tight margins and labour costs are a significant part of costs, probably as are business rates.

The bars and restaurants sector is struggling with plenty of businesses closing.

How many Witherspoon pubs have closed this year.

Last year

The year before.

How many pubs from other chains have closed in this Time???

I'll give you time Elle

And, as I've posted before, Wetherspoons has saved a lot of fantastic old buildings from the pigeons, arson, and replacement with "executive living".

Are you saying

I am saying that "I believe he was forced to inch above "poverty wages" after a strike"

In which case it is no surprise that labour costs went up, and no surprise that he whines about it.

Do you disagree with WHAT I ACTUALLY SAID?

My question please John...
