Can anyone help I have a combi boiler it's been off since August been having building work done my builder tried to start it yesterday nothing working none of the rads have been connected yet will it still fire up with no pressure to it ?

Depends on the boiler - if it’s an Intergas eco RF 30, yes you can change parameters to hot water heater only, if not or you want heating, then no you can’t.

Not unless it's an Intergas, no. How have you managed to have it switched off for all this time? Most people wouldn't want to be without for more than a day or two

In the summer I had a combi system which needed re-piping due to leak in ground floor screed. To keep hot water on I installed a loop of pipe between flow and return. Allowed boiler to be filled and pressurised so hot water worked until I could get around to the job.
