There is a 20mm gap under my plinth in a small area of my kitchen (possible to high spot in kitchen floor)

What I want to know is the best way to deal with or fill the gap

My concern is that food, dirt etc will just accumulate under the plinth

Make a scribing block by fixing a small pencil to a bit of wood and use it to scribe a line along the base, copying the bumpiness of the floor. Use a bit of wood 20-25mm.
Cut the wavy line so the plinth matches the floor

Buy some of these

Would a jigsaw work best for this? or would you recommend another tool? Or perhaps a combination of tools?

Thanks for the link re: plinth seal... For belt and braces, i will apply some oil based paint on the exposed wood parts

Looks like laminate flooring? has it got damp?.
It is luxury vinyl tiles - fully waterproof.

There is no damp in the area. The floor was laid on top of some existing vinyl floor.. some parts that were noticibly low were leveled. I guess i didn't get it all :D

Plinth sealing strip but would suggest doing all of them. Just check the depth of your plinth as mine was 16mm from memory
