Hello all,

Given the almost total cessation of plane travel, manufacturing, and the like, what effect has the current CV pandemic had on the atmosphere?

Any links to decent resources appreciated (gives me something to take my attention from the 'Rona(y))

Worse around here.

It seems people are having old fashioned bonfires, it stunk outside last night.

Short version, yes, air quality is much improved. Who knows what it'll do to the process to decarbonise the world. Probably slow it if something like the 'Green new deal' goes through to help the post Covid recovery.

Yes, the best thing about the pandemic is that we don't have to listen to the demented, pious ramblings of Saint Greta Garbage. Coronavirus has stolen her thunder and achieved what she and her snowflake band of followers could never achieve. The nut job is now completely superfluous.

Good riddance Miss Funbags!!

It was very pleasant today, the sun shining, the birds singing and crucially, not a lot of cars going about.

CARS are one of the biggest threats to peace, safety, manners, civility, aesthetics, health and the "environment". They ruin more lives than the coronavirus ever will.

I did notice that the of cars that were going about, a lot of the were speeding. Methinks the car idiots are taking advantage of the quiet roads; seeing them as their personal Nürburgring.
