Aqualisa pushfit shower wall outlet

I needed to change the out let position for a concealed shower from handheld coming out the bath to wall outlet. I managed to cause minimum damage and fit an aqualisa push fit shower wall outlet as per picture. It had a rubber o ring like a speedfit fitting but no grab ring or anything, so you could push it on and off. The pipe is rigid copper and the outlet screws to the wall so it can’t go anywhere...... but was this missing a grab ring? Anyone fitted one?

You've not posted a picture, but yes there should be a large white grab ring with it

The two parts in that photo you an see was there. There isn’t any room for anything else to fit. It’s setup to take 15mm but you can twist the outerplastic part out via the larger lugs, remove the 15mm part and then it accepts 22mm part. There isn’t any room for any additional grab ring to be fitted

With the instructions, all it came with was how to convert to 22mm
Nothing about grab rings etc, plus had no way to depth mark for how much the pipe had to be sticking out the wall, so if had a grab ring there would be no way of getting back off .... but you had to push it on a piece of pipe to see how much went it. So it made sense that it came on and off.

When I last did one, the grab ring went into a recess in the circular wall plate. Which can be seen in your photo above.

Maybe they changed the design... can you not download an installation manual from the AL website?

I’ve looked and I can’t find anything and all the photos just say push fit and show that photo.
I did find it odd that it would basically pull on and off. It screws to the wall and if the pipe is rigid and clipped it will go over the o ring and not move ......
Maybe I was missing a piece that pushes over the entire lot afterwards, I can’t see that you’d have to buy it seperately.

If the pipe is fixed then it won't be an issue, I think it was for pipes in the wall that can be pushed back!

Yeah it definitely isn’t suitable if the pipe moves back. I couldn’t get in the wall to clip it, but i frilled either side of the ply and fed a couple of cable ties through to pull the pipe tight against the wall. Time will tell I guess
I’ve emailed aqualisa aswell for confirmation on it.
