Keeping people dry in the garden bar

Have recently built this raised deck area with canopy and garden bar, first bit of outdoor DIY and quite happy with how it’s turned out! Looking for some ideas for keeping the rain out of the sides and off the exposed raised deck at the front.

Have used feather edge fence panels at the back, not sure if I should go the same route or if there’s something a bit nicer looking that’s still affordable? Appreciate any ideas and suggestions.

Thanks, I am :D they'll both be coming round for a few drinks in the coming weeks!

While in use? Or just while it's unused?

Looking for something either permanent i.e. cladding or something that can be rolled up / closed. Mainly looking for something that isn't an eye sore and doesn't cost a fortune!

How about a roller blind and for the wood effect on the exterior glue some thin narrow battens that will roll around with the blind?

JTbrown,
Fantastic looking bar - very jealous.

As an aside, if you have not done so already, may i suggest that you put a latch or drop chain on that swung window to secure it when it is open.
So that if/when that rope snaps or comes lose, the swung window is held by the latch or caught by the drop chain.
Its swung weight onto the bar shelf will make it like a heavy guillotine.

Look at boats for ideas. You could have "curtains" made to measure with or without clear plastic windows of any size you like. They could be lighweight plastic or the longer lasting heavy duty canvas type. They come in different colours and fit them with press studs or twist n lock fittings and if you want them adjustable then they can be rolled up to a height you want.
This is roughly what I mean

That’s a good point. I had thought about a latch but it had completely left my mind until you just reminded me! Thanks
