I have a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 25i Compact combi boiler. (It's possible it may be the compact 30i but I need to check the paperwork as they look identical).

I don't know if it's simply the capacity of the boiler, or if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's the rad(s), but I find the heating utterly woeful. The heating just about takes the chill out of the air (nothing more), but it wouldn't be able to do this if it was five degrees (or less) outside.

In all honesty, I suspect it's not the rad(s) as it's a 3-section column rad and should give out a decent amount of heat in a fairly small room.

I have the boiler at 1-bar pressure, it's set to "e" on the boiler dial so this potentially could go a little higher up to the max. I have the temperature of the control handset set to "30C" to give a maximum, and the boiler is functioning. The temperature on the boiler itself states "66C" which I presume is the temp of the water.

Has anyone any experience of this boiler? Thanks.

At not be a boiler issue . Are any rads hot ? Do you have weather compensation fitted ? Has it ever got hot in the past

It appears to be functioning again, not sure what was wrong.

Had one rad replaced with a new one, so perhaps it needed to "bed down"...

Out of curiosity, what is weather compensation?

WC is a sensor futted outside your home that senses the outside temp and relays that information to your control setup so if really cold outside it will ramp the boiler up, if warm will do it gradually , opinions differ whether it is worthwhile

I haven't heard of that before.

Some smart thermostats that are internet connected do this via the local airport to source the outside temp, amongst other sources, all depends what you want, personally, I think they have went too far, but techies love this stuff
