Whilst I am glad that the Queen has been out for fresh air with her grandson - to open a curtain no one else could manage - after seven months confined to her bed-sit, it would seem that she is not being very wise as far as covid is concerned regarding distance and face coverings.

Although, as the reporter says they are two metres apart, does that make it alright?

Neither did the other guy in the photo so why wasn't he mentioned?
Because no-one knows him perhaps?

Not a fan of the monarchy, but don't think any laws were broken.. or is she parked on a double yellow?

According to some papers, everyone was tested beforehand.

You don't need a mask outside, or if 2M apart indoors, although many places ask people to wear them

It didn't cost anything - unlike the visit.

She's 94.

Should they not be two metres apart or did you believe the reporter?

Dunno but it’s not taxed and hasn’t got any number plates. Bloody foreigners!

I once restored a 62 Sunbeam Alpine which had no 'plates' as the reg number had probably been sold for a lot more than I paid for the car, which was £100
Anyway, when it was finished, I enquired about a reg number from dvla Reading and they said I had to MOT it before they would issue a reg number appropriate for the year, so I said how can I drive it to the MOT station without a number plate, they said don't worry son we'll send you a covering letter.
I turned up and the tester said I cant test that you aint got a number plate, so I showed him the letter and he tested it, all was OK till he went to fill out the ticket and he asked me for the chassis number, the chassis number is on a plate on the bulkhead under the bonnet and I'd removed it while spraying the car and I'd picked up a new ID plate but hadn't attached it to the car.
So the bugger failed it, I had to go home, get the punch set out, put the chassis number on the new plate and rivet it to the bulkhead, went back and got the ticket, and Reading gave me a reg number, which if memory serves was GSU 266 or something like that.

Well, you have to enter the reg and vin number on most cars before you can start a test now otherwise the computer will say no. Btw, you can take some cars with no plates for a test and you will get a certificate with just the vin number. I think it’s foreign imports or kit cars. Cars before 1980 ish don’t need a chassis number.

I'm not required to wear a mask whilst I am at work. Her Majesty is at work!
God Save The Queen !!

Can I sit down now?
Standing up while you sing "god save the queen" is tiring with me having arthur itis and all that. :)

The chances are Wills and the Queen have had plenty of private and family chats - she's just in their extended bubble, obviously!

Besides, you can bet that everybody within 500m of them is tested every day.
