It is a chimney in a Tiber frame house so some outside and some inside. It is being built in the gap on the right

Generally, blockwork is OK in rain. The only possible issue is torrential rain streaming down the face and washing mortar joints away. Just check the joints today and if they are still there it's ok. Point up any gaps.
