My Mum used to work with him in The late 50s. She was a secretary at a wholesale ironmongers in Bristol and he was in the export dept. He used to bring a huge pile of sandwiches in with him to work which would be gone by morning break. Lunchtime he would be in the chippy for a very large portion of fish and chips. Used to be on the doors at the local dance halls in the evenings. He grew up quite close to where I lived in Bristol - Darth Vader was a Meader from Southmead.

RIP Dave Prowse. Done well for a lad from Bristol.

Never been tempted... My mate boasted he had got a far better rate in Prague on the BM.... But the Hungarian Forint he traded was worth nothing.

We had a surfeit of Thai Baht and ended up in a room full of ermm gentlemen with wads of rupees we came out unscathed and a little worse off

Nepal was a lovely place. I really liked Pokhara & Bhaktapour the later not being much left after the Earthquake. I have an habit of going places that suffer something horrendous after Ive left.
