Washing Machine Problem

For the past 2 weeks or so, we find that after each wash a solid lump of powder is left behind in the drawer and we have to remove this before each new wash. Machine is a zanussi Lindo 100. Any ideas where the fault may lie?

Different machine but the principal is the same.
