Outside tap drain

If installing an outside tap with a hose union backplate so no exposed pipework would you still fit a drain off inside? Do many fit drain offs inside as most customers wouldn't be able to open them to drain it down. Thanks.
 
Thanks I know. But do most install an internal drain off too? Just can't see many people being comfortable opening and closing one.
I’ve been fitted quite a few, whether or not people are comfortable doing it, regs require it.
 
Depends on where the pipework is coming from.

If the supply rises up inside before heading out the wall then ideally you would have a drain at the lowest point. If it doesn't then opening the tap would drain the pipework.

There is a requirement to drain the pipework to stop any water becoming stagnant/bacteria ridden over the winter when isolated.
