The Metropolitan police have been described as “institutionally corrupt” and its commissioner, Cressida Dick, personally censured for obstruction by an independent inquiry set up to review the murder of the private detective Daniel Morgan.

The Met has previously in 2011 accepted that corrupt officers shielded the killers and the panel said a murder inquiry that was probably “solvable” was undermined, perhaps fatally.

Five investigations by the Met have failed to yield a conviction, and concerns about police wrongdoing, and links between corrupt officers and sections of the tabloid media, led the government to order an inquiry in 2013.

It does now give more credence to the claims made by many they were unfairly treated by the Met Police.

Comes as no surprise the Met have failed to investigate Prince Andrew and Epstein.

You say this is nonsense?

Possibly true but to give this thread a bit of balance it wouldn’t hurt to remind you and the other UK institutional fault finders on this forum that there are still plenty in the force like these.

Perhaps one day you may see fit to highlight such stories for a change. I won’t be holding my breath though.

Maybe for a bit of balance mottie may like to tell us how many police officers have been convicted of civilians deaths at police hands that have been recorded as being unlawfully killed?

institutional corruption ?

yes

I wonder if tranny knows how many reports of WAGS being beaten up by their menfolk get investigated and result in a prosecution

and how it compares with the number when the menfolk are police officers

(clue: a lot less)

That's not balance - that has nothing to do with the issue at hand - where someone dies doing their job and corruption. The fact you want to conflate the two issues says more about your misunderstanding of the issues.

If the welfare of the Police was important to you - why vote for a party that cut police numbers making their jobs harder?

What about the balance of your posts? You and certain others on here seem to revel in anything bad about the U.K. and I can’t recall you starting any posts celebrating any good things about the UK- unless you think everything is bad about it? I’m surprised you still all live here.

@SirGalahad

just to give a bit of balance

Why don't you start a daily barrage of interesting and informative posts?

this is me in the garden
this is me on the beach
this is my breakfast
this is my dinner
this is my dog
this is my allotment
this is my garden
this is my breakfast
this is my beer
this is my wine
this is my dinner
this is me on holiday
this is my allotment again
this is my breakfast again

I'm sure it would be most enthralling.

I love this country but not its Government. I didn' see you want to leave whilst we were part of the EU.

You just regurgitate the tired old debunked tropes - "if you don't like it leave" - well why didn't you follow your own advice?

I did. Loads of us did. We left the EU. Didn’t you notice?

Leave the country. You stayed for 47 years as part of the EU. :D

Now don't go saying you were merely a pup in 1973 - you we were well into your twenties.
