It's been put back, no?

Allegedly by two months but I wouldn't trust this lot.

I bet they continue as normal and if someone whistleblows (which they wanto crack down by bringing forth legislation whereby even the journalists can face jailtime for reporting on a whistleblowers claims).

This Government are ruining this country.

I would be tempted to replace "ruining" with "curtailing free speech in"...

They are ruining it in other ways.

Not only should that not be done, we should have a law to make whistleblowing compulsory.

Along with criminalising lying in public office/a public capacity and cover ups.

A couple of years ago my son was referred from one hospital NHS Trust to another hospital NHS Trust for surgery. On arrival we were asked what was the problem, as out local hospital referral letter and hard copy hospital notes had not arrived ahead of us.
Digitising the medical records and making them available online to those who need them would have avoided us a lot of grief at the time.

Lefty's are paranoid about people holding information on them, they cry themselves to sleep at night over the thought that someone, somewhere is 'selling' their personal details for money. Just humour them, nod sagely and agree.

This data grab has nothing to do with that and your hospital notes are digital. But well done for totally not getting the issue.

He gets the issue.

He just doesnt want to stop writing rubbish like that. His brain fizzes all the time, trying to interpret absolutely everything in political terms, and whats more, to do so in a way which in his eyes gives him a reason to ridicule "lefties". Because of course every single thing in the universe with which he disagrees is "lefty".

It would be merely amusingly sad and pathetic, were it not for the fact that he does it to deliberately despoil the forum.

And anyway - arent distrust of big government and concepts like sovereignty of self typical right-wing positions, whereas the "lefties" believe in the benificence of a protective state and a degree of surrender of personal autonomy for the wider good?

Are you saying the RWR should know their place.

Those are the risks. But what are the benefits? How well can data from health records actually be used to solve health problems?

The usefulness of it is absolutely overblown. I think that, at the end of the day, electronic health records have been shown to be pretty good billing systems.
